The Band

Anita Gray - Vocals

Anita feels right at home on stage.  She has been singing and performing since she was a small child (growing up in England) where her playwright mother would cast her in multiple roles in plays at the local community theater. A singing head of lettuce was a standout favorite.

Her acting bug was then suppressed through high school and early adulthood until she moved to the United States in 1998 and enrolled in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Performance program at The University of Colorado at Boulder. Then followed 4 years of dramatic and vocal roles in works ranging from Shakespeare to Rodgers & Hammerstein.

Anita has a particular fondness for musical theater from this chapter of her life and is often implored to "stop singing the princess songs" by her band mates during practice.  Anita's studies while at CU did include vocal training with Jennifer Dedominici of The College of Music, and she works with vocal coach Nedra Gaskill here in Seattle currently.

After her first venture as lead vocalist with local cover band "Kerry Park" in 2012, Anita is thrilled to be back on stage performing some soul and R&B classics with West Coast Bump.

Darin Lund - Guitar

Darin Lund is a recent transplant to the Seattle music scene. He has played throughout the Midwestern US and in California, where he studied music performance and composition at Musicians Institute.

Past projects are eclectic and include: an all guitar tribute to Django Reinhardt, a one-man busking show, an all original pop group (The Arriving), touring with recording artists (Jordan Riley, 4 Shades), and orchestral work.

Darin is currently devoting his time to playing the music that inspires him the most: jazz, fusion, and funk. He is excited to be onstage with West Coast Bump, bringing this fun music to the good people of Seattle.
